Our school

  • The YMCA International Language School, located in the heart of Downtown Montreal, was established in 1965 and is part of the international YMCA movement found in 120 countries.
  • 27 well-lit classrooms, 2 language labs equipped with relevant technologies, 1 student cafeteria and free Wi-Fi access.
  • The minimum age is 18, however, the average age of our students is between 25 and 29.
  • We are members of the following organizations: ALTO (Association of Travel Organization), WYSE (World Youth Student and Educational Travel Confederation), Imagine Education au/in Canada and Languages Canada.

Our international student programs include intensive English or French courses to help you progress quickly. Our team is there to listen to your needs, and you can be sure our teachers will do everything they can to help you meet your goals and effectively develop your linguistic skills in a lasting way!

PATHWAY PROGRAM

Do you want to study in a Canadian academic institution? The YMCA International Language School can help. Pathway program is designed to help international students better integrate in their future academic institution and guide them through the registration process.

Pathway is :

  • Reaching the level of French or English required to study in a Canadian academic institution;
  • Receiving guidance throughout the registration process for the institution of your choice;
  • Getting help in obtaining your conditional acceptance letter;
  • Receiving methodical language training, tailored to preparing you for your experience in a post-secondary academic institution.

Our courses

  • Administrative fees (non-refundable) are due at the time of first registration only. They apply to all foreign students registered in our programs;
  • Programs are offered year-round, and sessions begin every 4 weeks*;
  • Group courses (10 students max) or private course;
  • Official evaluation centre for the TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) and the TFI (Test de français international) ) in Montreal. Registration and payment for these tests is done online : www.etsglobal.org.
