Registration companion guide

Your class will be given at the Downtown YMCA located at:

1435 Drummond Street, 5th Floor

Montréal, QC  H3G 1W3

Metro: PEEL

Once you arrive, head to the 5th floor. You can take the elevators or the stairs if there are a lot of students. Once at the school, check the board to see what classroom you are in.

We recommend you bring the following material to properly follow your classes:

  • Material for note-taking
  • Your course book (handed out on your first day of class)

The school has a designated area, which is located across from the reception desk, where you can sit and remove your mask so that you can eat your meals. You can bring your lunch, heat it up, and make yourself comfortable while you wait for your class to resume.

Rest assured that every measure has been implemented so that you can attend in-person classes safely:

  • A mask must be worn at all times when you are inside the school, including in your classroom for the entire duration of the class. You may only remove it when you are sitting down to eat in the designated area. Teachers must wear their masks at all times, EXCEPT when they are in the designated teaching zone inside the classroom.
  • A distance of two metres must be kept at all times. To help implement this rule, the floors are marked with reminders regarding the distancing rules.
  • All visitors must sign the daily health declarations log each time they visit the school. Students must sign the daily health declarations log. They will sign it in their classroom. Furthermore, students will be asked to sign the COVID-19 risk recognition form.
  • Students are not required to present their vaccination passport to enter the school or attend class.
  • The school has disinfectant stations placed throughout the building. Although the school is cleaned and disinfected thoroughly every day, we strongly encourage our students, teachers, and staff to wash their hands and use the disinfectant products available to disinfect their hands and work stations.

Health measures will be adapted if the situation and government guidelines evolve. In case Public Health closes schools, courses will be held online.

Thank you for taking note of these measures so that we can safely resume in-person courses in the best conditions possible for everyone.
