Registration companion guide

Your class will be given at the Downtown YMCA located at:

1435 Drummond Street, 5th Floor

Montréal, QC  H3G 1W3

Metro: PEEL

Once you arrive, head to the 5th floor. You can take the elevators or the stairs if there are a lot of students. Once at the school, check the board to see what classroom you are in.

We recommend you bring the following material to properly follow your classes:

  • Material for note-taking
  • Your course book (handed out on your first day of class)

The school has a designated area, which is located across from the reception desk, where you can sit and remove your mask so that you can eat your meals. You can bring your lunch, heat it up, and make yourself comfortable while you wait for your class to resume.

Rest assured that every measure is implemented so that you can attend in-person classes safely. Our measures in effect at the YMCA International Language School:

  • Wearing a mask is no longer required.
  • If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask in our building and during class, please continue to do so. And rest assured that we have no objections to you doing so.
  • The school has disinfectant stations placed throughout the building. Although the school is cleaned and disinfected thoroughly every day, we strongly encourage our students, teachers, and staff to wash their hands and use the disinfectant products available to disinfect their hands and work stations.
  • And last, please stay vigilant about your state of health: if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, take a test and stay home to ensure everyone’s safety.

And for further clarification:

According to public health requirements, you must wear a mask in the following instances:

  • People who were infected with COVID-19 must wear a mask during all social interactions for at least five days following their self-isolation.
  • People who live with a person infected with COVID-19 must wear a mask for 10 days.

We will keep you informed about any changes to the health measures at the YMCA International Language School and we are available to answer any questions regarding the wearing of a mask.
